DALEY: THUG ADMITS FOUR ATTACKS ON GIRLFRIEND

CLAPTON, EAST LONDON; A jobless thug who banged his girlfriend's head against the wall during a series of attacks on her may escape jail. Verrell Daley, 31, beat his ex-girlfriend Dominique Kent at the home they shared in Charnwood Street, Clapton, Snaresbrook Crown Court heard.

WOLVERHAMPTON, BIRMINGHAM; A care home manager accused of failing to report a series of violent scuffles between residents to the industry regulator has been cleared. Joanna Beale, 51, had been charged with covering up incidents including one where a patient was punched in the face and given a black eye.

EAST HAM, EAST LONDON; CROYDON, SOUTH LONDON; Secretly filmed footage shown to a jury today (Weds) caught a council payroll officer sprinting around a track when he had told his bosses he had such a severe back injury he could barely stand. Former commonwealth Games athlete Matthew Thomas, 24, informed his line manager he ‘could not get in and out of the car, sit or stand' without pain after a fall from a ladder.

YOUTH WHO STABBED SCHOOL WORKER TO DEATH CLEARED BY JURY

MILE END, WALTHAMSTOW, EAST LONDON; A teenage boy who stabbed a school worker to death after the victim 'touched him up' was cleared of murder and manslaughter today (Weds). The 17 year-old boy claimed Mohammed Amirul Haq, 27, threatened to shame him within his Muslim community by telling everyone he was gay.

ADEWALE: 'GREEDY' BOSS JAILED FOR £500,000 LOAN FRAUD

ENFIELD, NORTH LONDON; CANNING TOWN, EAST LONDON; A security boss who netted almost half a million pounds in a 'highly sophisticated' fraud has been jailed for four years. Sakiru Adewale, aged 56, obtained £476,000 in loans and mortgages by claiming that his loss-making company, RPG Ltd was thriving and paid him up to £60,000 per year.

HILL: GANG WHO TARGETED TRAIN TICKET MACHINES ARE FACING JAIL

GRAVESEND, LONGFIELD, WEST MALLING, KENT; EALING, WEST LONDON; A gang of thieves who chained railway ticket machines to the back of a stolen minibus to rip them out of the ground are facing jail today. (Weds) Three stations were raided in one night by the gang, who grabbed thousands of pounds from South Eastern dispensers.

(Weds) Graham Spires and a colleague were called to the Warwickshire home in the early hours of following a 999 call that a girl was suffering from chest pains, the Health Professions Council heard.

Isaac Brown, 30, was kicked out of home after former lover Yesim Mentesh sent an e-mail to his girlfriend revealing they still had sex.

FRANKLIN: MAN DENIES MURDER OF GREAT-GRANDMOTHER

ABBEY WOOD, CHARLTON, SE LONDON; A 34-year-old man today (Weds) denied the murder of a great-grandmother who was beaten and stabbed to death in her flat. Daniel Franklin is accused of killing 88-year-old Irene Barrett, who was found dead inside her ransacked home on the 15th floor of Valiant House in Sam Bartram Close, Charlton, southeast London, on May 15.

PATEL: G20 PATHOLOGIST GUILTY OF 'IRRESPONSIBLE' POST MORTEMS

HOLLOWAY, NORTH LONDON; A Home Office pathologist carried out three ‘irresponsible’ autopsies including a post mortem into the suspicious death of a five-year-old girl, a hearing ruled today (Weds). Dr Freddy Patel, who found Ian Tomlinson died of a heart attack during the G20 protests, carried out just a ‘cursory’ examination of little Annastacia Williams in September 2002.

SOUTHEND, ESSEX: A nurse slapped a care home patient's face after he racially insulted him, a tribunal was told. Mthandazo Dlodlo, 38, lost his temper with the man when he called him a 'nigger,' the Nursing and Midwifery Council heard.
