WAKEFORD:PENSIONER ACCUSED OF KNIFING HUBBY TO DEATH APPEARS IN COURT

EFFINGHAM, SURREY. A pensioner accused of stabbing her husband to death at their home appeared at the Old Bailey today (Weds). Patricia Wakeford, 66, allegedly knifed 75-year-old Tony Wakeford through the heart in the early hours of September 4.

HAYWARDS HEATH, CRAWLEY, WEST SUSSEX. A dentist who left a patient in pain by needlessly pulling out two teeth without her full consent has been allowed to practise again without restrictions. Boran Zanganeh (corr) was found guilty in September 2008 of failing to carry out a proper investigation into the patient's toothache by the General Dental Council.

(Tues) Robert Clarke, 42, was a teenager when he burst into the three-bedroom flat wielding an iron bar and wearing a blue balaclava over his face, it is claimed.

PRICE: NHS WORKER JAILED FOR £32,000 TIME SHEET FIDDLE

DAGENHAM, ESSEX; HOXTON, EAST LONDON; An NHS worker who pocketed nearly £32,000 by fiddling her time sheets then continued the fraud after she had quit the hospital was jailed for 18 months today (Tues). Georgina Price, 41, routinely forged her manager's signature at Barts and the London NHS Trust where she worked part-time as an administrative assistant.

NURSE BOUGHT DAUGHTER ONE WAY TICKET TO PHILIPPINES TO COVER UP SEX ABUSE

HARTLEPOOL, CLEVELAND. A nurse bought her daughter a one way ticket to the Philippines to try and cover up allegations of sexual abuse by her late husband, a hearing was told. The 45-year-old even forged a letter from her daughter stating the claims were false and tried to bribe her to drop the charges, the Nursing and Midwifery Council heard.

A teenage girl who was pursued by a youth club leader for sex delayed reporting his antics because she was scared of causing a crisis that would close the centre, a hearing was told today (Tues). Jugraj Nahal allegedly formed an 'inappropriate' relationship with the girl soon after starting at the newly-opened Connexions 4 Youth centre in Wellington, Telford, Shropshire, in November 2007.

THORPE:BRITAIN'S YOUNGEST FEMALE DOUBLE MURDERER CAGED FOR 14 YEARS

IPSWICH, SUFFOLK. Britain's youngest ever female double murderer was today (Tues) jailed for a minimum of 14 years for killing her father and his friend after a row about a dog. Lorraine Thorpe, 16, and Paul Clarke killed Desmond Thorpe, 43, and 41-year-old mum-of-two Rosie Hunt within days of each other in the summer last year.

LAWRENCE:HARLEY ST PSYCHIATRIST REVEALED SEXUAL FANTASIES TO PATIENT

CENTRAL LONDON. A Harley Street psychiatrist revealed his sexual fantasies to a patient during counselling sessions, a hearing was told today (Tues). Dr Robin Lawrence told the woman he had thought about meeting her outside their therapy appointments, and said it would be inappropriate for them to have sex in his office, it was said.
