WINSER: PAIR IN COURT ACCUSED OF 'GANGLAND EXECUTION'

SYDENHAM, CAMBERWELL, BERMONDSEY, SE LONDON; Two men appeared at the Old Bailey today (Weds) accused of a 'gangland execution'-style murder of a nightclub promoter. Bobby Winser, 21, and Michael Campbell, 24, are accused of killing 27-year-old Daniel Herbert in Rotherhithe, southeast London.

MURRAY: MINICAB DRIVER 'RAPED' PARTY GOER

SHOREDITCH/ENFIELD A student was raped in a car by a man posing as a minicab driver who offered her a ride home for £10, a court heard today (tues). Astor Murray, 49, was identified by his DNA seven years after driving the woman to an isolated industrial estate and attacking her, it is alleged.

THOMAS: SPRINTER WHO COMPETED WHILE OFF SICK FOUND GUILTY OF FRAUD

EAST HAM, EAST LONDON; CROYDON, SOUTH LONDON; A top sprinter who claimed more than £13,000 in sick pay from his employers for a bad back when he was still running competitively was convicted of fraud charges today. (Tues) Commonwealth Games runner Matthew Thomas, 34, told his bosses at the London Borough of Newham he had fallen off a ladder and was in too much pain to work as a payroll officer for seven months.

POOLE: FORMER FINANCE DIRECTOR FUNDED EXOTIC LIFE WITH STOLEN ORCHESTRA CASH

HERNE HILL, SE LONDON; The former financial director of the London Philharmonic Orchestra was told he faces jail today (Tues) after swindling more than £645,000 to pay for a deposit on his family home and to fund exotic holidays. Cameron Poole, 36, siphoned off hundreds and thousands of pounds from the orchestra’s accounts by forging his bosses’ signatures on cheques and other financial payments.

SCHOOLBOYS CLEARED OF CAUSING £1m WAREHOUSE FIRE

CHADWELL HEATH, ESSEX; Four schoolboys who were accused of causing £1 million of damage by torching a warehouse were cleared after the case against them collapsed today (Tues). The teenagers were said to have set GRS Bagging Ltd ablaze, ravaging the building, machinery and three HGVs at the site in Chadwell Heath, Essex.

TOTTENHAM, NORTH LONDON; LEYTONSTONE, EAST LONDON; A takeaway worker who left a clubber permanently scarred when she threw boiling chip fat over her head was spared jail today (Tues). Alyssa Wallis, 21, doused Hannah Orpin, also 21, in the scalding liquid during a food fight between the duo at the Log Cabin fast food shack in Leytonstone, east London.

LINCOLN: A mental health nurse did not record rape allegations made by a patient 'to keep him safe from gossip,' a tribunal heard. John Hales, 65, failed to conduct a thorough investigation into the claims made by a 19-year-old male patient on March 7, 2008.

PATEL: HOME OFFICE PATHOLOGIST GUILT OF MISCONDUCT

HOLLOWAY, NORTH LONDON; A Home Office pathologist who bungled the autopsy into a G20 protester has been found guilty of misconduct. Dr Freddy Patel, who found Ian Tomlinson died of a heart attack during the demonstration, carried out three other post mortems which were found to be 'irresponsible.'

MANSON: MENTALLY ILL MAN WITH PETROL BOMB SENT FOR TREATMENT

ILFORD, HAINAULT, ESSEX; A mentally ill man who planned to fire bomb a tower block flat in the belief he was targeting a 'drug dealer' has been sent to hospital indefinitely. (Tues). Lee Manson, 23, fashioned a petrol bomb by filling a Stella Artois lager bottle with lighter fluid and stuffing a T-shirt in its neck in Hainault, Essex.

TAUNTON, SOMERSET; RICKMANSWORTH, HERTS; An amateur wedding photographer is facing jail today (tues) after taking naked pictures of a 16-year-old girl. Jeffrey Kearns, 62, asked the teenager to pose for him so he could 'practise' his hobby before passing on the snaps to his cousin, the Old Bailey heard.

SINGH: TEENAGER'S HONOUR DESTROYED BY SEX VIDEO CLAIMS

STOKE NEWINGTON, NORTH LONDON; DALSTON, EAST LONDON; Two men who forced a teenager to perform sex acts by threatening to send an explicit video to her strict Sikh father were each jailed for nine years today (Tues). Ujal Kasba, 26, and Raja Singh, 24, told the 17 year-old she had been filmed having sex with Singh and the disk would be given her father.

GIBSON: HOUSE OF COMMONS OFFICIAL ADMITS FRAUD

WALTHAM CROSS/POPLAR A House of Commons official whose department was at the centre of the MPs expenses scandal today (Tues) admitted submitting bogus invoices to pay off his mounting debts. Andrew Gibson, 49, who worked in the parliamentary Fees Office, is facing jail after creating fake invoices in the names of MPs who were either retiring or leaving their posts.
