DAHDALEH: LABOUR DONOR MADE MULTI BILLION CASH BRIBES

BELGRAVIA A Labour donor and friend of Tony Blair paid almost £39million in bribes to a member of the Bahraini royal family to secure multi-billion pound aluminium contracts, a court heard today (Tues). Victor Dahdaleh, 70, paid the bungs to Sheikh Isa Bin Ali Al Khalifa, the minister of oil and industry and the chairman of state-owned Aluminium Bahrain BSC (Alba), jurors heard. Dahdaleh also handed around £3million in kickbacks to Bruce Hall, 61, the chief executive officer of Alba, who spent some of his ill-gotten gains on luxury property, Southwark Crown Court heard. The Jordanian-born metals magnate allegedly issued orders for the payments, totaling more than £40million, to be made using a fax machine at his home in Belgravia, central London.

BHAYANI: ACCUSED KILLER TELLS HOW HE CRAMMED VICTIM'S BODY INTO A BAG

PADDINGTON/WEMBLEY A professional conman told today (Tues) how he felt sick as he dragged the body of murdered millionairess Carole Waugh from under a bed and forced it into a bag. Rakesh Bhayani, 41, and Nicholas Kutner, 48, murdered Miss Waugh so they could gamble away her life savings in London's casinos, it is claimed. The 49-year-old victim was working as an escort and Bhayani had met her after answering her Gumtree advert in which she used the name 'poshtottyfun.' He claimed they began a casual affair that she had agreed to disappear from the country so that he could carry out a various frauds using her name, with accomplice Kutner.

BROOKS: CHIEF CALLED NEWS DESK FROM DUBAI ABOUT DOWLER STORY

ADDLESTONE, SURREY; CHELMSFORD, WOODFORD GREEN, ESSEX; CHIPPING NORTON, OXFORDSHIRE; BUCKINGHAM; CHARING, KENT Rebekah Brooks called her news desk from Dubai before the transcript of hacked messages to Milly Dowler were edited out of the News of the World, the Old Bailey heard today (tues). The then-editor, 45, called from her holiday before the second edition of the Sunday tabloid was published as well as texting deputy editor Andy Coulson, phone records reveal. The first edition contained a page nine story by reporter Robert Kellaway quoting directly from messages left on the murdered schoolgirl's phone. The story read: 'The hunt for missing Milly Dowler took a new twist last night when it emerged that messages has been sent to her mobile phone after she vanished.

EKAIREB:PROPERTY TYCOON KILLED WIFE AND DISPOSED OF HER BODY

HENDON, NORTHWEST LONDON A wealthy property developer killed his pregnant wife seven years ago and disposed of her body without a trace, the Old Bailey heard today (TUES). Robert Ekaireb, 38, allegedly murdered former lapdancer Li Hua Cao, 27, after their relationship crumbled because of his jealousy and obsessive-compulsive personality. He then spent the night at a nightclub in London's West End before arranging for their luxury flat to be redecorated and recarpeted, it is claimed. Ekaireb claims that she had packed her bags and left him for a better life - but she has not been seen alive since 23 October 2006.

ABOLADE:GROPING NURSE WHO LIKES 'SUCKING BOOBS' ESCAPES STRIKING OFF

LINCOLN A BUPA nurse who unzipped a colleague's tunic and told her he liked 'sucking boobs' has escaped being struck off after a panel ruled his actions did not amount to serious sexual misconduct. Musa Abolade asked the woman what someone would have to do to be her boyfriend and groped her breast during a night shift. He had been cleared of sexually assaulting the woman by Lincoln Magistrates and claimed at his Nursing and Midwifery Council hearing the allegations might have been 'racially motivated'. But the NMC panel ruled there was no other plausible explanation for Abolade's actions 'other then they were sexually motivated'.

STANCA:ROMANIAN WHO DISEMBOWELLED COMPATRIOT JAILED FOR SEVEN YEARS

FOREST GATE, EAST HAM, EAST LONDON A Romanian thug who disembowelled a compatriot after a prostitute was branded 'ugly' jailed for seven years. Vasile Farcas was walking along with the call girl when a friend of Casian Stanca made the disparaging remark about her. When Stanca, 21, laughed along with the quip, Mr Farcas chased him down the road and beat him about the head, Snaresbrook Crown Court heard. Stanca reacted by thrusting a knife into Mr Farcas' stomach, causing potentially life threatening injuries, Snaresbrook Crown Court heard.

SCHOLTEN: SURGEON TOOK PHOTO OF WOMAN'S GENITALS ON HIS PHONE

PETERBOROUGH A cosmetic surgeon took an intimate photograph of a patient on his iPhone in a 'moment of madness.' Dr Erik Scholten was about to replace the woman's breast implants when he took the snap on his mobile phone. The 53-year-old told a shocked nurse 'Look at hers, she's not complaining' before pulling 'Patient A's' pants to the side with one hand while capturing an image of her private parts. The father-of-two, who is a specialist in genital cosmetic surgery, told the Medical Practitioners Tribunal Service he planned to show the image to other patients as a comparison. Dr Scholten was suspended from the Fitzwilliam Hospital in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire after the matron 'dragged him like a naughty schoolboy' to apologise to the woman and her husband, it was said.

GLOVER: DENTIST GAVE PATIENT A LISP

ABERDEEN A dentist left an assault victim with a lisp after performing 'doomed' surgery to repair damage to his front teeth, the General Dental Council heard. George Glover allegedly told the patient he would look like a rabbit without pink acrylic to disguise his receding gums. But when the man looked in the mirror he was so shocked at the results he burst into tears, the tribunal was told. Glover's practice, Fergus and Glover, in Aberdeen, was awarded Best Scottish Practice at the 2008 Dentistry Awards and specialises in implants, 'permanent replacements for any number of missing teeth'.

ZULU:' I SAW DEAD MAN RAISE HIS HAND' SAYS NURSE

NORTHAMPTON A nurse at maximum security Broadmoor Hospital lied by saying he saw a patient raise his hand to cover his tracks after the man had died, a hearing was told. Sizwe Zulu worked on the Kempton Ward at the notorious hospital which houses some of Britain's most notorious killers and rapists including Yorkshire Ripper Peter Sutcliffe. Zulu filled in an observation chart saying he checked on the inmate, referred to as Patient A, five times between 7.15pm and 8.15pm on December 17, the Nursing and Midwifery Council heard. After the man's death Zulu signed a statement that said 'around 20.40, the last time I checked on him, he responded by raising his hand'.

LYNCH: RAPIST WHO BATTERED DOWN WOMAN'S DOOR FACES JAIL

CANNING TOWN A sexual predator who battered down a front door to try and rape a woman he met on a bus faces years behind bars . Shane Lynch, 25, wrestled his victim to the floor of the kitchen and attempted to rip off her tights. Her mother heard her screams and came rushing down the stairs to pull Lynch away. Lynch, who has previous convictions for sexual assault, only gave up and ran off when he realised a neighbour had called police.

MARSH: HEAD-BANGING NURSE IS STRUCK OFF

CHESHIRE A nurse who repeatedly shoved a vulnerable patient until she banged her head against a brick wall has been thrown out of the profession. Angela Marsh attacked the woman when she became aggressive and demanded to have a cigarette. She also restrained the care home resident by crouching down and holding her head in between her legs, refusing to let go and not checking the woman for injuries. Marsh has been banned after a Nursing and Midwifery Council hearing found her guilty of serious misconduct in her care of the woman, referred to as Service User A. 'Mrs Marsh's actions were significant departures from the standards expected of a registered nurse, and are fundamentally incompatible with her remaining on the register', panel chair Najrul Khasru said.
