TOGOZ: FOUR YEARS FOR THE SECRETLY RECORDED SEX ATTACKER

ROMFORD A sex attacker who was secretly recorded as he assaulted a clubber been jailed for four years. Yasin Tokgoz, 22, was out on licence for his part in the London riots when he offered the girl a lift home. He met her at Fiction nightclub in Romford, Essex, on 29 November last year and the bumped into her again a few hours later as she was waiting for a bus. She had been harassed by two men at the bus stop and she remembered Tokgoz as being polite and friendly, so accepted his offer of a lift.

SAAD MIRZA-ALI: HOW TO WRITE OFF A RANGE ROVER

MARYLEBONE A boy racer who obliterated a hired Range Rover after losing control while driving at more than 100mph has walked free free from court. Saad Mirza-Ali, 23, ploughed the luxury motor through the central reservation of the A40 near the Marylebone flyover in the 30mph zone on 31 July last year. The car had been hired for his friends birthday when he decided to show off the 'nice' and 'powerful' car by stamping on the accelerator. He careered through the crash barriers and took out a lamp post and 20 metres of metal fencing with it.

JIHADI JOHN WAS ACCUSED OF BICYCLE THIEF

QUEENS PARK Jihadi John was cleared of possessing stolen bicycles nearly four years ago. The terrorist, whose real name is Mohammed Emwazi 26, of Lancefield Street, Queen's Park, west London, stood trial at Snaresbrook Crown Court in June 2011. After a two day trial a jury cleared Emwazi of five charges of possessing criminal property in respect of top of the range bikes, including a Trek Alpha and a Cannondale Bad Boy.

MULLINGS: PARCELFORCE GUN RUNNER GETS LIFE SENTENCE

WANDSWORTH, SUTTON, FINSBURY PARK, LUTON A serving prisoner who used Parcelforce to import sub-machine guns and ammunition from Germany was jailed for life today (Thurs). Alexander Mullings, 23, arranged for the delivery of the weapons using a mobile phone smuggled into his cell at Wandsworth Prison. He used Youtube to research the Czech-made Skorpion guns, which can fire 850 rounds a minute and featured in the Matrix and The Dark Knight movies. Three weapons were seized by police, but five other guns delivered by Parcelforce to north London have never been recovered.

WHITESIDE: TERRORISTS HAD INSIDE INFORMATION AT BP DEATH PLANT

PERTH, GLENROTHES An insider at an Algerian BP gas plant provided terrorists with vital information as they stormed a BP gas plant in Algeria and executed seven Britons, an inquest heard today (thurs) Kenneth Whiteside, 59, Carson Bilsland, 46, Sebastian John, 26, Stephen Green, 47, Paul Morgan, 46 and Garry Barlow, 49, were shot dead by extremists as Algerian special forces moved in on the In Amenas desert complex in January 2013. Carlos Estrada, a Colombian who lived in Chelsea, west London, was also murdered by the terrorist group, which has links with al Qaeda. They were among 40 hostages killed at the the BP run facility in the north African country during a four-day siege. The terrorists went 'unhindered and unnoticed' across the Sahara desert to the facility, which is divided into two compounds linked by an access road and has been in operation since 2006.

TEEN WHO MURDERED GOOD SAMARITAN AT CHICKEN SHOP FACES LIFE BEHIND BARS

SYDENHAM, SOUTH LONDON A 17-year-old who murdered a Good Samaritan outside a chicken shop after he stepped in to protect his friend from a revenge attack is today (Thurs) facing life behind bars. James Hunter, 18, was killed and a 17-year-old left seriously injured after a double stabbing outside 'Tasty Chicken' on Wells Park Road, in Sydenham, south London. Hunter's friend, who was stabbed in the buttocks, was targeted by a gang after a series of earlier run-ins with one of their friends, the Old Bailey heard. When Mr Hunter tried to intervene, one of the gang plunged a knife into his chest, puncturing his heart.

MERRY: IT GEEKS 'GAMBLED WITH STOLEN FORTUNE'

LINCOLN, JERSEY, CENTRAL LONDON Two £100,000 a year IT specialists swindled their company of £700,000 to gamble and take luxury trips abroad, a court heard today (thurs). Ricky Merry, 45, wrote dozens of false invoices to insurance brokers Marsh Ltd and gambled away a fortune betting on horses and football. Accomplice Jason Senior, 49, used his share of the cash to pay for 'nice' holidays, Mercedes cars, and private and university education for his children, the Old Bailey heard. In 2008 Merry started submitting false invoices or work that had not been carried out.

BARTON: LEOPARD PRINT THONG DENTIST FREE TO DRILL AGAIN

WARRINGTON A dentist who was struck off for prancing around in a leopard-print thong nearly five years ago was cleared to return to work today (THURS). Anthony Barton, 36, insists he has 'grown up a lot' since he subjected three nurses to sexual conduct, including groping their bottoms and trying to undo their bras. The General Dental Council banned had Barton from the profession in October 2009 after nearly eight years of 'sexually motivated behaviour' was exposed. But his name will be added back onto the dentist register after a professional conduct and competence committee today granted his application to be restored and go back to work.

HARDY: SANDHURST INSTRUCTOR'S WIFE CLAIMS SHE DID NOT KNOW HER HUSBAND WAS SELLING STORIES TO THE SUN

CENTRAL LONDON; CAMBERLEY The wife of a Sandhurst instructor who sold stories to The Sun about Prince William and Prince Harry said today (thurs) that she had no idea what her husband was doing. Ex-Sandhurst colour sergeant John Hardy, 44, sold details about the army base where the princes trained to the newspaper, the Old Bailey has heard. He allegedly funnelled some of the 34 payments totalling £23,000 through his 41-year-old wife Claire's bank account. The Sun's royal editor Duncan Larcombe , 39, is accused of paying the couple for stories between February 2006 and October 2008.

BLAKE: SUN STORIES ABOUT 'CUSHY' IMMIGRANTS WERE INACCURATE AND DISTRUPTIVE TO DEPORTATION

CENTRAL LONDON Newspaper articles in The Sun about the 'cushy' treatment of immigrants awaiting deportation were inaccurate and disrupted the running of the detention centre where they were being held, the Old Bailey heard. Michael Guy, the former centre manager at Colnbrook immigration centre, said staff began to question each other over the leaks amid an atmosphere of mistrust. He said claims in The Sun between 2008 and 2010 that taxpayers money was being spent on gourmet food and entertainment for detainees were distorted. And Mr Guy said the newspaper's assertion that rapists, murderers and terrorists were held at Colnbrook was false.

KANE:NURSE SAID THERE WERE MORE MUSLIMS IN NORTH THAN IN KABUL

SOUTH TYNESIDE A nurse who posted on Facebook that there were more Muslims in the northeast of England than in Kabul has been thrown out of the profession. Lisa Kane posted a string of racist comments and said Muslims 'stank.' She demanded that 'brainwashed' followers of Islam 'GET out of my country.' Kane, who worked at South Tyneside NHS Foundation Trust, was Facebook 'friends' with other colleagues who worked alongside her, the Nursing and Midwifery Council heard.
