NEWMAN: COP'S BOYFRIEND WAS FUGITIVE ON THE RUN

HARROW A police officer set up a secret night of passion with her boyfriend while he was wanted for questioning, a court heard. PC Kayley Newman, 25, failed to arrest Dominic Diop after arranging an illicit rendezvous at Hotel Ibis London Docklands in east London, jurors heard. Newman, based at Harrow Police Station in northwest London, allegedly knew 'full well' police had been trying to track down her lover since October 25, 2011. She messaged Diop, 23, on Facebook to arrange the 'clandestine' tryst, before meeting him on November 13 last year, Southwark Crown Court heard. But Diop was not arrested until November 21, when he was recalled to prison to complete an earlier sentence.

LAWRENCE: CRYPTIC LANGUAGE HELPED JAILHOUSE PHONE SMUGGLERS

LETCHWORTH, SOUTH NORWOOD A convict accused of smuggling phones and drugs into jail with the help of his mother used a cryptic dialect to avoid being caught, a court heard. Glen Lawrence, 23, spoke to mum Carolyn Dylan, 46, and sister Nikki Nash, 30, in a language used by Irish travellers called 'Shelta' while plotting to traffic contraband into prison, jurors heard. They allegedly used codewords to communicate but a police officer who understood the dialect realised the trio were planning to buy a fleet of caravan trailors with their ill-gotten gains. Dylan and Nash allegedly passed cannabis and mobile phones to prison chef Mick Fray, 46, who was paid 'hansomely' for bringing the items into HMP Isis, a young offenders' institute in southeast London.

WILLIAMSON:BOMB HOAXER THREATENED TO BRING DOWN TRANSPORT SYSTEM

WESTMINSTER, CENTRAL LONDON A bomb hoaxer accused of threatening to 'bring down' London's transport system with a series of co-ordinated explosions has been remanded in custody. David Williamson, 49, is charged with making four calls to police warning that devices were planted at Westminster Abbey, Westminster Tube station and other unknown locations around the capital. Williams also allegedly made a hoax call to the Park Plaza Hotel - a luxury thousand bedroom hotel overlooking Parliament. Speaking in a thick Scottish accent, Williamson spoke only to confirm his name and date of birth at Westminster Magistrates' Court.

JAIL FOR 'CHEESEBURGER GANG' FLEECED WOMAN OUT OF £1M SAVINGS

THAMESMEAD, SOUTHEAST LONDON; MANCHESTER; ENFIELD, NORTH LONDON; TILBURY, ESSEX; READING, BERKS A gang of fraudsters dubbed 'The Cheeseburger Gang' were jailed for more than 26 years today (Fri) for fleecing a woman out of her £1million life savings. Karen Budow unwittingly revealed the details for her two Santander bank accounts to Egyptian Tamer 'The Hacker' Abdulhamid, 24, after she fell victim to a phishing scam. Using the online moniker 'Aimless88', Abdulhamid, who had access to more than 2.5million email addresses, sold Ms Budow's information to Nigerian national Rilwan Oshodi, 29, for £3,200. Oshodi's girlfriend, Annette Jabeth, 26, originally from Sierra Leone, posed as the victim and arranged for her bank details to be changed.

UDDIN:SIX MUSLIM TERRORISTS ADMIT PLOTTING TO BOMB EDL RALLY

SHEFFIELD, DEWSBURY, YORKS; BIRMINGHAM Six Muslim terrorists who plotted to detonate homemade bombs at an English Defence League rally to mark Armed Forces Day are facing jail today (Tues). Omar Khan, 31, and Jewel Uddin, 27, had loaded a car with a boot full of weapons and explosives as they headed to the far-right demonstration in Dewsbury, West Yorkshire. They were armed with sawn-off shotguns, newly-sharpened swords, and fireworks converted into nail bombs, with Anzal Hussain, 24, Mohammed Saud, 22, and Zohaib Ahmed, 22, following behind in convoy. But Khan and Uddin's silver Renault Laguna was stopped during a routine check on the M1 near Sheffield.

DOCK OFFICER WHO SHARED FLIRTY CALLS WITH RAPIST JAILED

WOOLWICH, SOUTHEAST LONDON; DAGENHAM, ESSEX A dock officer who shared flirty phone calls with a serving inmate at one of Britain's most notorious prisons was jailed for 10 months today (mon). Serco worker Yasemin Ozyukselen, 24, was contacted almost 60 times by convicted rapist Shahed Ahmed, 22, while he was held at HMP Belmarsh in Woolwich, southeast London. Ahmed bombarded Ozyukselen with calls over a 15 month period in whcih he called her 'darling', 'gorgeous', 'princess' and 'baby'. He also described her as 'sexy' and they had a discussion about hairstyles, Southwark Crown Court heard.

HUHNE: JAILED MP FACES £108K COURT COSTS BILL

EASTLEIGH, HANTS; CLAPHAM, SOUTH LONDON Shamed ex-minister Chris Huhne is facing a £108,000 bill to cover the cost of bringing him to justice for swapping his speeding points with former wife Vicky Pryce. The couple are both serving eight-month prison terms for perverting the course of justice after Pryce, 60, agreed to take three penalty points for the former Lib Dem Energy Secretary a decade ago. Prosecutors are seeking a total of £108,539.85 for the cost of pursuing Huhne, 58, who pleaded guilty to perverting the course of justice on the first day of his trial at Southwark Crown Court.

LAWSON: BENT PLUMBER SPRINGS FROM JAIL

WEST MOLESEY, SURREY; STOCKWELL, SUTTON, BATTERSEA, SOUTHWEST LONDON A corrupt prison plumber who had secret mobile phone conversations with an inmate jailed for murder has walked free from court. John Lawson, 43, admitted being in contact with Jordan Burree, who was caged in December 2011 for gunning down Sadiq Adebiyi near Stockwell tube station in a street execution. The 25-year-old is currently serving a minimum of 33 years at HMP Wandsworth in south London. Burree was also in contact with on-off girlfriend, Bianca Davis, 27, Southwark Crown Court heard.

PARKER: ACCUSED FARMER KILLERS IN COURT

CAMBRIDGE Two alleged killers accused of beating a retired farmer to death in his home denied murder when they appeared at the Old Bailey today (Fri) Frankie Parker, 25, and Gary Smith, 20, are said to have attacked Llewelyn Thomas, 76, and left him for dead on December 18, 2012. It is believe he was killed during a botched burglary at his home in Chittering, near Cambridge. He had suffered extensive face and head injuries.

STEFANO: 14 YEARS FOR DEVIL'S ADVOCATE

CANTERBURY, KENT; DUNDEE A bogus lawyer dubbed the Devil's Advocate for representing clients including rocker Gary Glitter was jailed for 14 years today (Thurs) after duping clients out of more than £1 million. Giovanni Di Stefano, 57, defended a series of notorious criminals including road rage killer Kenneth Noye and Great Train Robber Ronnie Biggs. The former director of Dundee United FC also bragged of meetings with Osama Bin Laden and Robert Mugabe.

Giovanni Di Stefano, 57, represented notorious criminals including road rage killer Kenneth Noye, timeshare fraudster John 'Goldfinger' Palmer, and property tycoon Nicholas Van Hoogstraten.

KITCHEN: TRIAL DATE FOR NURSERY RHYME CHILD PORN ACCUSED

OXFORD; WANDSWORTH, SOUTH LONDON A former Oxford prep school teacher accused of posing as the nursery rhyme character Jack Sprat to distribute a vile image of a child being abused is to stand trial in June. Nigel Kitchen, 51, allegedly downloaded a picture of a boy being molested before sending the image via a Skype account under the name JackSprat. Kitchen, a former science teacher at Summer Fields School, a boys boarding prep in north Oxford, quit in 2002 and is now a property manager.
