KITCHEN: TRIAL DATE FOR NURSERY RHYME CHILD PORN ACCUSED

OXFORD; WANDSWORTH, SOUTH LONDON A former Oxford prep school teacher accused of posing as the nursery rhyme character Jack Sprat to distribute a vile image of a child being abused is to stand trial in June. Nigel Kitchen, 51, allegedly downloaded a picture of a boy being molested before sending the image via a Skype account under the name JackSprat. Kitchen, a former science teacher at Summer Fields School, a boys boarding prep in north Oxford, quit in 2002 and is now a property manager.

STEFANO: DEVIL'S ADVOCATE ONCE MET OSAMA BIN LADEN IN BAGHDAD HOTEL

CANTERBURY, KENT; DUNDEE An accused fraudster dubbed the 'Devil's Advocate' told a court how he met Osama bin Laden in a hotel. Giovanni Di Stefano, 57, spoke of his links with Arkan, the so-called Butcher of Belgrade, Saddam Hussein and Rober Mugabe. The Italian claimed he 'enjoyed a friendship' with accused war criminal Slobodan Milosevic's daughter and lived in the former Serbian president's home in 1993.

HARRIS: ARMED ROBBER GETS 13 YEARS FOR BETTING SHOP RAIDS

POPLAR, EAST HAM, NEW SOUTHGATE; HORNCHURCH, ESSEX; ISLE OF SHEPPEY A prolific armed robber who targeted a string of bookies within months of being released on parole was today (Fri) jailed for 13 years. Tom Harris, 27, used an imitation handgun to hold up terrified staff in two betting shops and CS gas to threaten an employee in a third store. He also robbed his late grandmother’s ex-boyfriend at gunpoint, leaving him with a V-shaped wound to his head.

TRUNKFIELD: PRISON OFFICER IN COURT FOR SPEAKING TO THE PRESS

BUCKINGHAMSHIRE A prison officer at a top security jail accused of selling information about a high profile inmate to a tabloid newspaper has today (Tues) appeared in court. Richard Trunkfield, 31, an operational support officer, allegedly received £3,350 from The Sun in exchange for details about the lag. The incident is said to have taken place while Trunkfield was working the prison in 2010. Trunkfield appeared at Westminster Magistrates’ Court today (Tues) charged with a single count of misconduct in a public office.

AUBYN-AGOREYO: WIFE SENT SAUCY SNAPS TO LAG

WANDSWORTH, SOUTHWEST LONDON A prisoner's wife was caught swapping raunchy text messages with her husband after police discovered intimate photos on a phone hidden in his cell. Masai St Aubyn-Agoreyo, 25, sent saucy snaps to convicted gunman Clayton McCalman, 24, while he was locked up at HMP Wandsworth. Officers caught the pair after they matched pictures of her tattooed body found on McCalman's phone to photos stored on a memory card she had hidden in her bra.

UDDIN: SIX DENY EDL TERROR ATTACK PLOT

BIRMINGHAM; DEWSBURY, WEST YORKS Six terror suspects today (Fri) denied plotting an attack on a rally of the far-right English Defence League. Jewel Uddin, 27, Omar Khan, 28, Mohammed Hasseen, 23, Anzal Hussain, 24, Mohammed Saud, 22, and Zohaib Ahmed, also 22, are all accused of engaging in conduct in preparation for terrorism acts. The alleged gang were arrested last summer, the day after police stopped a Renault Laguna for driving without insurance on the M1 near Sheffield, Woolwich Crown Court heard.

DI STEFANO: 'DEVIL'S ADVOCATE DID NOTHING TO HELP ME'

CANTERBURY, KENT A self-styled lawyer dubbed the Devil's Advocate did 'nothing' to help a prisoner win his freedom despite charging more than £8,000, a court heard today (WED). Giovanni Di Stefano, 57, took a payment of 10,000 Euros from the family of 43-year-old convicted drug smuggler Laurent Penchef. It is claimed Penchef’s mother and father are just one of ten sets of victims who lost almost £1m to the Italian.

STEFANO: DEVIL'S ADVOCATE DEFRAUDED CLIENTS OUT OF £1M

CANTERBURY, KENT; DUNDEE, SCOTLAND A former director of Dundee FC dubbed 'The Devil's Advocate' defrauded clients out of £1m by falsely claiming he was a qualified lawyer, a court heard today (tues) Giovanni Di Stefano, 57, netted the money from ten victims after he claimed he was a trained Italian 'avvocato' between 2004 and 2012. Prosecutors claim he was no more a qualified lawyer than he was a 'surgeon qualified to perform surgery or pilot qualified to fly an aeroplane'.

MAHMUDOV:SEX TRAFFICKER ADMITS SMUGGLING WOMAN INTO UK FROM BULGARIA

WOOD GREEN, NORTH LONDON A human trafficker today (Tues) admitted smuggling a woman into the UK for the purposes of sexual exploitation. Mehmed Mahmudov, 35, is accused of acting as a pimp for the girls at a brothel in in Wood Green, north London. Police tracked him down after one of the girls he was holding captive escaped, Westminster Magistrates' court heard.

BURGLAR RAIDED LEGAL CHAMBERS

CENTRAL LONDON A brazen burglar who swiped computers and cameras from one of London's ancient Inns of Court is facing jail today (Fri). Robert Smith, 27, also stole a designer bag and a pair of sunglasses after creeping into historic Middle Temple Hall. He raided the Elizabethan building - home to one of four barristers' Inns of Court - last July 28 and made off with a haul totaling £5,500.

GOODWIN: PCSO PASSED POLICE DATA TO CROOKS

ORPINGTON, LONGFIELD, MOTTINGHAM, KENT A crooked PCSO netted thousands of pounds selling confidential information about drug factories to criminals, a court heard. Oguz Batmaz, 27, passed on the locations of suspected cannabis farms and ran hundreds of illegal checks on police computers, it is alleged. He also helped an escaped prisoner evade capture and scoured intelligence records for mentions of associates, Southwark Crown Court was told.

JOHNSON:PRISON DRUGS COUNSELLOR FOUND GUILTY OF MISCONDUCT

ISLINGTON, NORTH LONDON A drugs counsellor accused of smuggling wraps of cannabis into jail in a tin of rice pudding is facing jail after he was found guilty of misconduct. Daryl Johnson, 26, abused his role as a CARAT (Counselling, Assessment, Referral Advice, Through care) worker while based at HMP Pentonville. Prosecutors allege he passed drugs to an inmate despite his role being to help prisoners cope with their drug addictions while in jail.
