SHREEVE: PRISON WORKER JAILED FOR SMUGGLING PHONES

WIMBLEDON, WANDSWORTH, SOUTH LONDON A prison healthcare worker wept in court as she was jailed today (Fri) after striking up a friendship with a prisoner because of ‘maternal affection.’ Caroline Shreeve, 47, smuggled six mobile telephones into Wandsworth Prison in south London after becoming close to convicted robber Anton Humphries, 24.

WHITE CITY, EAST DULWICH, ROTHERHITE A masked torture gang robbed a retired couple at gunpoint during a terrifying three-month crime spree, a court heard. Taariq Fagan, 20, and Mohammed Bangura, 28, preyed on Barry Duckett and his wife Janet, knowing that he had money at home because he was the treasurer of a residents' association.

CAREW: PRISON GUARD JAILED FOR FLOODING JAIL WITH DRUGS

RAINHAM, ESSEX; VICTORIA DOCKS, DAGENHAM, EAST LONDON; SITTINGBOURNE, KENT A crooked prison guard who teamed up with a jailed drug boss to flood Pentonville jail with cannabis and mobile phones was jailed for five years today (Fri). Richard Carew, 32, was arrested after his colleagues found more than three quarters of a kilogram of marijuana in one wing of the prison on a single day. The thriving black market in drugs and phones inside the north London jail was masterminded by inmate James Mansbridge, 36.

MATLOK:POLE ACCUSED OF BURGLING MADONNA TO REMANDED IN CUSTODY

MARYLEBONE, WEST LONDON. A Polish man accused of breaking into Madonna's £10m London mansion to steal an energy drink was today (thurs) remanded in custody to appear before a judge next month. Grzegorz Matlok, 31, has been held in the hospital wing of HMP Wandsworth since his arrest on the night of the alleged burglaries, in the early hours of March 12.

BRIXTON, SOUTH LONDON A prison nurse tried to smuggle cannabis worth £1,500 to an inmate, a hearing was told. Adekunle Ola Jibona was caught trying to enter Brixton prison with 123g of the illegal drug as well as whisky disguised in a coke bottle and prescription sleeping tablets used by addicts.

MATLOK: MADONNA BREAK-IN SUSPECT TO GO BEFORE CROWN COURT

CENTRAL LONDON A man charged with breaking into Madonna's £10m London mansion will appear before a crown court judge for a decision on whether he is mentally fit to stand trial. Grzegorz Matlok, 30, is alleged to have climbed up to the Georgian townhouse's balcony using a rope in the early hours of March 12.

Paul Reid, 34, tried to escape through the judge's corridor as the jury were being led out of the room.
