NEWMAN: POLICE OFFICER AVOIDS PRISON OVER SECRET JAILBIRD LOVE

EAST HAM; BARNET A woman police officer who swapped more than 1,000 secret phone calls and texts with a lover serving time for armed robbery wept uncontrollably as she was given a suspended jail term today (tues). PC Kayley Newman, 25, enjoyed the illicit contact with smooth talking Dominic Diop, after he was recalled to Pentonville prison to complete his six-year sentence. Newman spent a night of passion with Diop, 23, while he was on the run from the law before returning to prison, Southwark Crown Court heard. She was accused of booking them into the Hotel Ibis London Docklands knowing 'full well' that police had been searching for him since October 25, 2011.

BAINS: PERVERTED 'SPYWATCH' DOC IS STRUCK OFF

SWINDON A perverted GP serving who filmed intimate examinations of dozens of women using a ‘spy watch’ was thrown out of the profession today (Fri). Dr Davinder Jeet Bains, 46, used the James Bond-style hidden camera to secretly record himself abusing female patients over a three year period at his practice in Royal Wootton Bassett. His 29 victims included two young teenage girls under the age of 16, who were made to get undressed before he fondled them. The disgraced GP made the films using the camera watch and saved them for his own sexual pleasure. Bains was caught after a teenage lodger, ‘Miss A’, told police the doctor had filmed her in the toilet and shower and assaulted her.

JOHNSON: DRUGS COUNSELLOR JAILED FOR, ER, SMUGGLING DRUGS

ISLINGTON A drugs counsellor who smuggled skunk weed stashed in tins of rice pudding and pot noodles into prison has today (Thurs) been jailed for six months. Daryl Johnson, 27, allowed himself to become ‘corrupted’ while working as a CARAT (Counselling, Assessment, Referral Advice, Through Care) worker at HMP Pentonville in north London. Johnson was initially persuaded to bring in contraband, including shower gel and sweets, supplied by Dwayne Thomas, the half-brother of serving inmate Duran Braithwaite, a childhood associate. But he threw the items away after discovering 52.03g of cannabis hidden inside, Southwark Crown Court heard. The father-of-one was ordered to take another package into the prison on May 11, 2011, after being subjected to threats of violence. Johnson, who is studying for a degree in 'youth studies' at London Metropolitan University and also works part time at London Zoo, was caught red-handed with the stash in his locker.

COMER: KILLER BROKE FREE TO BE WITH DYING LOVER

MITCHAM, SURREY A convicted murderer escaped prison to care for his dying girlfriend then spent two years on the run, a court heard today (Wed). Stephen Comer, 43, was jailed for a minimum of 14 years in September 1998 after he and accomplice Thomas Webb stabbed Jason Foster to death over a drugs turf war. Comer walked out of HMP Ford open prison in Arundel, west Sussex, on June 15, 2011, just weeks before he was due to be released. His partner and mother of his children, Liza Dew, died of liver failure on September 4, 2011, Southwark Crown Court heard.

KHAN: THREE IN COURT OVER PRISON SIEGE

YORKSHIRE Three prisoners who allegedly made terror demands after taking a guard hostage are to stand trial at the Old Bailey. Feroz Khan, 26, Fuad Awale, 25, and David Watson, 25, were all inmates at HMP Full Sutton in North Yorkshire, when they grabbed prison officer Richard Thompson, Westminster Magistrates heard. Khan and Awale are accused of threatening to kill the guard. The court heard Khan attacked Mr Thompson and assaulted a second prison guard, Rachel Oxtoby.

HALL: 'IT'S A LOCK IN' - LIFE BEHIND BARS WITH STUART HALL

CHESHIRE Disgraced broadcaster Stuart Hall’s jail sentence has been doubled by the Court of Appeal to reflect the gravity of his 20-year campaign of child sex abuse. The veteran BBC presenter’s 15-month prison sentence was extended following a hearing this morning which heard he had ‘got away’ with his crime for decades. Senior judges agreed with Attorney General Dominic Grieve that Hall was let off lightly at Preston Crown Court after he admitted 14 counts of indecent assault against girls as young as nine between 1967 and 1987. ‘It is our judgement that the sentence should be increase from 15 months in prison to 30 months in prison’, said Lord Judge, the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales. ‘The offender got away with it for decades.'

POLICE OFFICER CLEARED OVER NIGHT OF PASSION WITH FUGITIVE LOVER

HARROW, NORTHWEST LONDON; EAST HAM, EAST LONDON; BARNET, NORTH LONDON A police officer who spent a night of passion with her lover while he was on the run from the law wept as she was cleared of misconduct today (thurs). PC Kayley Newman, 25, was said to know 'full well' that Dominic Diop, 23, was being hunted when she booked them into the Hotel Ibis London Docklands in east London. Newman, based at Harrow Police Station in northwest London, messaged her lover on Facebook to organise the rendezvous, before meeting him on November 13, 2011. Police had been trying to trace Diop, a convicted armed robber, since October 25, Southwark Crown Court heard.

PYATT:SIX JOURNALISTS IN COURT OVER BUNGS FOR PRISON SECRETS

BRENTWOOD, ESSEX; WINDSOR, BERKS; CORBY, NORTHANTS; ASHTEAD, SURREY; EAST DULWICH; WAPPING, EAST LONDON; TWICKENHAM, WEST LONDON; SITTINGBOURNE, KENT Six tabloid journalists accused of paying bungs for secrets of Britain's most notorious prisons appeared in court this morning (Thurs). John Edwards, Jamie Pyatt, both 49, Nick Parker, 52, Lucy Panton, Tom Savage, both 38, and Chris Pharo, 42, all allegedly conspired to corrupt prison officials, police officers, and officials with the British Army. Picture editor John Edwards and reporter Jamie Pyatt, both from The Sun, made £30,000 in illegal payments to Robert Neave, 59, a former healthcare worker at Broadmoor Secure Hospital, as well as officials at Thames Valley and Surrey Police forces, and the British Army, it is alleged. Broadmoor, a maximum security psychiatric hospital, is home to some of Britain's most notorious prisoners including Yorkshire Ripper Peter Sutcliffe.

FILAN: MOURINHO ROOM RAIDER ADMITS HOTEL CRIME SPREE

CHELSEA, WEST LONDON; CENTRAL LONDON; PETERBOROUGH A prolific thief raided the hotel suite of Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho three days after he targeted a wealthy businessman in the Savoy, a court heard today (thurs). Jamie Filan, 32, was jailed for 31 months in May after he admitting swiping designer gems worth more than £100,000 from the Special One's suite at the five-star Wyndham Grand Hotel in Chelsea. Arsenal fan Filan snuck into the penthouse while Mourinho was away on business and his wife Matilde and 16-year-old daughter, Tita, had gone out shopping. He bypassed tight security to help himself to gold jewellery, a diamond pendant, computer equipment, and an Ermengilo Zegna coat, worth £1,850, belonging to the new Chelsea supremo.

Glen Lawrence, 23, chatted with mum Carolyn Dylan, 46, and sister Nikki Nash, 30, in a language used by Irish travellers called 'Shelta', while trafficking contraband into prison. Lawrence, a serial criminal who is currently doing a six-year stretch for robbery and burglary, Dylan and Nash planned to buy a fleet of caravan trailers with their ill-gotten gains. But they were caught out by a police officer who understood the dialect, Southwark Crown Court heard.
