Max Clifford arrives at court to face sex charges

Celebrity publicist Max Clifford claimed 'all he wants is the truth to come out' as he arrived at court for the start of his trial. The PR guru is accused of molesting a string of teenage girls over two decades. Clifford, 70, is said to have preyed on a total of seven victims, beginning with a 14-year-old girl in 1966. A further six women claim they were targeted between 1975 and 1984. Clifford, who is accused of molesting a series of teenage girls over two decades.

One of Britain's most notorious armed robbers was hit with three life sentences after being caught on CCTV committing yet another raid while on day release from prison. Sean Bradish, 43, posed as a latter day Robin Hood, blaming bankers' greed for his crimes.

Bus passenger strangled for asking the way to Tesco

A bus passenger who throttled a commuter with a scarf because the victim asked if they were near Tesco was jailed for eight years. Eric Mjola, 33, tried to murder Reynolds Quadjovie as the security guard travelled to work on his first day in a new job. Mr Quadjovie passed out in front of horrified passengers on a single decker C1 bus in Earls Court, west London.
