A killer at the petrol station

Crazed fitness instructor Karl Taylor, 27, murdered sales manager Kate Beagley on their first date. He drove off in her Volkswagen Golf with the body in the boot and casually filled up the car at a petrol station. After Taylor 27, was convicted of murder, police released the CCTV of him using the car and film of British Gas manager Kate relaxing with friends weeks before she was murdered. Taylor was jailed for life and ordered to serve a minimum of 30 years.
A remorseless killer

Sex killer Levi Bellfield killed two women and attacked at least 14 others but turned his back on police during interviews because he was so confident he could get away with murder. Detectives believe he also killed 13-year-old Milly Dowler. Bellfield will die in jail after he was given a whole life sentence.

A posing car thief

Posing professional car thief Yusuf Kaduji, 21, got a friend to film him on a mobile phone as roared off in a £300,000 Mercedes McLaren SLR - believed to be the only one ever stolen in Britain. After the ride the mobile phone cameraman lovingly pictures the 280mph car. The gang also stole a BMW 645 convertible belonging to minor celebrity Tara Palmer-Tomkinson and a car owned by the head of TV station Al Jazera but Kaduji was jailed for just two years by Judge Peter Testar and will be out soon.

Modern day 'Bonnie and Clyde' Neville Knight and Penny White funded a champagne holiday to the Carribean with £60,000 stolen in their robbery of an east London supermarket. White also took a little spending money - £84,000 she had taken from her employers at the Centre for High Performance Development.
